DESCRIPTION:View Resource \n The previously recorded webinar and associated materials are available in the resource library. \nDescription: Join us for a two-part Motivational Interviewing practice series in early 2023. While many clinicians have had training in motivational interviewing (MI)\, these skills are best developed through continual practice opportunities. To that end\, we have designed two refresher workshops that focus on the application of foundational MI in specific situations. The focus of these refreshers is on sharpening and strengthening existing skills. These interactive sessions are best attended by clinicians with foundational knowledge of motivational interviewing and practice proficiency. Participants should be prepared to practice and hone their skills during the workshop. \nSeries: Motivational Interviewing Series\, Part 1 \nIn this first workshop\, will spend the majority of the time directly practicing foundational OARS skills to evoke interest and commitment to making health behavior changes. \nSpeakers: Suzanne Daub\, LCSW & V & Marsha Johnson\, LCSW \n  \n  \n  \n  \nLearning Objectives: \n\nDescribe the purpose and target of Motivational Interviewing (MI).\nReview the Spirit of MI\nIncrease confidence using each of the OARS skills.\n\nContent Level: Moderate \nTarget Audience: Clinicians \nCourse Interaction & System Requirements: This live webinar is fully interactive. Attendees may ask and answer questions throughout the presentation and participate in instructor-led discussions. \nCourse Completion & CE Requirements: \nHealth Management Associates\, #1780\, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations\, not individual courses\, are approved as ACE providers.  State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Health Management Associates maintains responsibility for this course.  ACE provider approval period: 09/22/2021 – 09/22/2025.   Social workers completing this course receive 1.0 continuing education credit. \nTo earn CE credit\, social workers must log in at the scheduled time\, attend the entire course and complete an online course evaluation.
